Port of Gdynia acquires land

The port authority has taken in 7,411 m2 from the Polish rail infrastructure manager PKP.

Gdynia's new land is located in the western part of the port, encompassing rail tracks and junctions forming the external cargo-junction tracks system to and from the Helskie Quay.

The port authority will now reconstruct these railways and electrify them along the Heat and Power Station EC III-Baltic Container Terminal Gdynia stretch.

"Our port is city-surrounded, and as such the importance of acquiring new lands cannot be overestimated. We're executing the port's 2017-2020 strategy consistently by, among many, investing in port infrastructure in general, and in particular in real estate of strategic importance for carrying out our investments," Adam Meller, Port of Gdynia's CEO, commented.
