Baltic Transport 2012 highlights - Stena Line grabs Scandlines' network

In the mid 2012 Stena Line announced a huge change in the Baltic ro-ro market, acquiring five routes the German-Danish operator Scandlines.

The deal formally fixed in October includes three long lines between Travemünde-Ventspils & Liep?ja and Ventspils-Nynäshamn, as well as two short routes between Trelleborg and Sassnitz & Rostock (so far already run in joint-management under the Scandlines Hansa brand.

Thanks to the take over, Stena Line now offers one of the biggest ro-pax networks in the Baltic Sea region.
