With 822,777 TEUs moved across the ports' quays, the country's container traffic managed to advance by 1.4% year-on-year, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
On the other hand, fewer ro-ro cargo units were handled, a decrease of 7.1% yoy to altogether 1,527,617 trucks, trailers, and railcars.
The finished vehicle logistics sector contracted, too, by 15% yoy, down to 356,964 units.
However, the passenger side of the Swedish port business was hit the hardest, a 53.8% yoy slump to a total of 6,322,485 ferry travellers. In addition, less passenger cars were transported on-board ferries, a drop of 44.2% yoy to 1,135,945 vehicles.
