Some 3.5m lane metres are annually filled on-board the ferries and ro-ros calling to the seaport in Kapellskär, which translates into approximately 194k cargo units (counting 18 m per one truck/trailer).

"It is great to see that freight volumes at Port of Kapellskär are continuing to rise. We have seen steady growth for many years, which shows how important the port is for the growing Stockholm region," Peter Lundman, Technical Operations Manager, the Port of Kapellskär, commented.

Being able to transport more goods by sea ensures long-term sustainable development and growth for the entire Stockholm region.
