Port of Antwerp: 6,517,956 TEU handled in I-IX 2012 (-0.5% yoy)

Along with the drop in container traffic, Antwerp’s total throughput declined by 2.2% year-on-year to 138.9 mln tn.

Tallink: 25,894 cargo units carried in X 2012 (+3.8% yoy)

Despite the decrease of cargo carriages on the Estonia-Sweden and a drop on the Latvia-Sweden link, Tallink carried 3.8% more cargo units in October 2012.

Port of Klaipeda: 28,935 TEU handled in X 2012 (+27.2% yoy)

In October 2012 all major cargo categories marked a rise at the Port of Klaip?da, giving an overall rise by 0.9% to 4.14 mln tn.

Port of Gothenburg: 226,000 TEU handled in Q3 2012 (+4% yoy)

Nonetheless, despite the Q3 rise, the overall January-September 2012 results for container handlings dropped 2% year-on-year.

Container traffic in Poland's terminals: 1,065,203 TEU handled in I-VIII 2012 (+20.1% yoy)

Boxes turnover at six terminals undergoing container operations in Poland totalled 1,065,203 TEU, marking a 20.1% year-on-year rise in I-VIII 2012.

Port of Baltiysk: 11,676 people in pax traffic in 2011 (+61.4% yoy)

The Russian port, located in the Kaliningrad Oblast, was visited by 11,676 passengers in 2011, an increase by 61.4% year-on-year.

Port of Rauma: 187,994 TEU handled in I-IX 2012 (+16.3% yoy)

From January to September, the Finnish port in Rauma handled 181,096 TEU in foreign (+14.7% year-on-year) and 6,898 TEU in domestic traffic (+81%).

Port of Liepaja: 4.62 mln tn handled in I-VIII 2012 (+49.6% yoy)

The Latvian port marked an increase by 82.6% year-on-year in handlings of dry bulk (1.98 mln tn). General cargo rose by 45.4% to 1.98 mln tn.

Port of Primorsk: 50.72 mln tn handled in I-VIII 2012 (+1.4% yoy)

During the first eight months of 2012, the Russian oil port in Primorsk handled more by 685.3 thou. tn than in the corresponding period of 2011.

Big Port of St. Petersburg: 38.42 mln tn handled in I-VIII 2012 (-2.7% yoy)

The overall drop is a result of decreases in handlings of wet cargo (-16.8% to 8.57 mln tn) and of dry bulk (-12.2% to 4.11 mln tn).
