The ferry “Edøyfjord”, ordered by the transport corporation Fjord1, will sail on the Edøya-Sandvika route.

The ship weights 1,634 GT, can speed up to 12 knots, has a total length of 66.4 m and 13.6 m of width. Edøyfjord can accommodate up to 146 people, 50 cars and four heavy goods vehicles. The ferry has been built to Det Norske Veritas certification.

Petter Klock of Multi Maritime, the company which designed the LNG ferry, said that – “It’s not just Norway... there is a growing market, especially in the USA, Canada and Europe, partly because of the IMO environmental regulations.”
