The company's 16k m2 facility in Arendal will begin operating on 1 December 2021 to provide contract logistics throughout the country.
GEODIS will offer warehousing and distribution services, including receiving goods to a warehouse management system (WMS), inventory storage, pick and packing, case palletisation, value-added services, returns processing, quality control and distribution.
The fast-growing retail and e-commerce verticals will be the core businesses served.
"The GEODIS Freight Forwarding business has been long-established in the country and our traditional customers have been calling for an extension to our services. We will draw on our well-established contract logistics operations capabilities throughout Europe and around the world to help our customers to achieve their ambitions for business growth. It's the ideal stepping-stone for GEODIS growth in Sweden," Thomas Kraus, GEODIS' President & CEO North, East and Central Europe, commented.
