Both exports and imports going through the Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (CTSP) rose last year, by 4.1% year-on-year to 388,960 TEUs and by 6.1% yoy to 369,650 TEUs, respectively.

The import figure includes 82,980 laden reefer TEUs.

A total of 483 ships called to CTSP's berths in 2019, which is 57 less, but with an average payload of 1,571 TEUs, 234 TEUs more per vessel.

Shipments going by rail accounted for 22.7% of the total volume (-3.3pp on the result from 2018).
