The overall decrease is a result of a 42.2% year-on-year drop in the turnover of dry bulk, down to 785.9kt, as both general cargo (+5.0% yoy to 2.08mt) and liquid bulk (+8.0% yoy to 4.58mt) rose.
A total of 117,032 ro-ro cargo units passed the Finnish port's quay, contracting by 8.7% on the result from 2018.
Passenger traffic also noted a drop, of 1.9% yoy to 78,179 people. On the other hand, more passenger cars were transported on-board ferries, an increase of 6.2% yoy to a total of 21,867 vehicles.
