Apart from a tiny batch of dry bulk (up by 33.9% year-on-year to 75kt), ferry cargo traffic, totalling 3.10mt (-14.4% yoy), accounted for the majority of the Swedish port's cargo turnover.

While fewer ro-ro cargo units went through the port's quays - a decrease of 6.6% yoy to altogether 267,555 trucks, trailers, and railcars - more passengers used the Port of Ystad to travel, an increase of 5.7% yoy to a total of 2,335,082 people.

In addition, more passenger cars were transported on-board ferries calling to the port, up by 10.6% yoy to 652,911 vehicles.
