Out of the total, international freight traffic totalled 9.8mt (-9.1% year-on-year), while the remaining 53.7kt (-53.9% yoy) was handled in coastal traffic.
The turnover of unitized freight traffic amounted to 8.28mt (-7.7% yoy), including 5.38mt (-6.8% yoy) of wheeled (ro-ro & ferry) and 2.9mt (-9.2% yoy) of containerized cargo.
Dry bulk handling toted up to 952.8kt (-18.9% yoy); that of break-bulk to 520.3kt (-11.6% yoy).
A total of 445,956 trucks & trailers (-1.4% yoy) went through Helsinki's quays. Some 381,055 TEUs (-5.2% yoy) were handled, too.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, ferry passenger traffic was cut in half (-53.9% yoy to 4.13m). Also, fewer passenger vehicles were brought on-board ferries (-32.2% yoy to 828.5k). There were no cruise calls.
