Tonnage-wise, the Russian seaport took care of 26.59mt of containerised freight last year, a decrease of 3% year-on-year.
A total of 59.88mt was handled across St. Petersburg's quays, the same volume as in 2019.
Whereas the turnover of general cargo (39.99mt) and dry bulk (8.47mt) went down, by 2.4% yoy and 6.8% yoy, respectively, more liquid bulk was handled - up by 16.3% yoy to 11.43mt.
Counting 15 tonnes per one ro-ro cargo unit, fewer trucks & trailers were brought to and from the port, a decrease of 7.7% yoy to around 76.9k units.
