Metrans, the company's rail arm, transported 336k TEUs, an increase of 12.1% year-on-year, while the remaining 85k TEUs were taken care of by HHLA's road division (+5.4% yoy).

The company's sea container terminals - three in Hamburg, one in Odessa, and one in Tallinn - handled altogether 1,677k TEUs, a decrease of 6.6% on the Q1 2020 volume.
