Tonnage-wise, the Russian Baltic port took care of 631.3kt of containerised freight, up by 63.9% on the I-IV 2020 result.
In total, however, the Port of Kaliningrad handled less cargo than in the corresponding period last year, a decrease of 17.7% year-on-year to 3.12mt.
The turnover of dry bulk amounted to 1.32mt (-19.2% yoy), of general cargo - 1.31mt (+9.5% yoy), and liquid bulk - 494.3kt (-48.9% yoy).
While the port's container traffic rose, wheeled went down - by 29.6% yoy to around 16.9k ro-ro cargo units.
