The German port took care of 2.72m TEUs in hinterland traffic (+3.4% year-on-year), while the remaining 1.59m TEUs were made in transhipment (+8.9% yoy).
Rail container traffic totted up to 1.37m TEUs, 11.4% more than in H1 2020.
In total, 63.54mt went through Hamburg's quays (+3.8% yoy), including 43.65mt of containerised freight (+4.1% yoy), 13.7mt of dry bulk (+6.2% yoy), 5.6mt of liquid bulk (-3.4% yoy), and 0.59mt of non-unitised general cargo (+5.4% yoy).
