At the same time, however, the Russian port's total freight turnover contracted by 1.8% year-on-year to 6.91mt.
The handling of dry and liquid bulk went down by 4.3% yoy and 38.8% yoy, respectively, to 3.04mt and 985.8kt.
In contrast, an increased amount of general cargo was taken care of, 27.9% more than in January-August 2020, totalling 2.89mt (incl. 1.35 of containerised freight, up by 70.7% yoy).
On the other hand, wheeled (ro-ro) traffic noted a 2.4% yoy decrease to 705.8kt. Counting 15t per one truck/trailer/railcar, it gave 47,053 ro-ro cargo units in total.
