The Swedish ports' leading trade, general cargo, rose by 5.4% year-on-year to almost 4.0mt.
Wheeled (ro-ro) traffic totted up to 3.52mt (+4.3% yoy), followed by forest products (+3.3% yoy to 252kt), containerised freight (-19.3% yoy to 142kt), and commercial vehicles (+22.9% yoy to 86kt).
Unit-wise, a total of 253,693 trucks & trailers was taken care of (-1.2% yoy), 22,200 TEUs (-20.3% yoy), and 12,303 vehicles (+11.3% yoy).
Dry and liquid bulk handling also rose: by 0.5% yoy to 437kt and 8.7% yoy to 25kt, respectively.
On the other hand, the ports' passenger business side continued to be negatively affected by the coronavirus pandemic, noting a 42.8% yoy decrease to altogether 1,106,946 seaborne travellers.
