Last year, international shipments going across the Latvian rail network totalled 42.14mt (-9.1% year-on-year), while domestic ones 1.65mt (+11.5% yoy).
Latvia's 2017 international rail traffic comprised 38.72mt of transit cargo (-6.5% yoy), 3.07mt of imports (-22.4% yoy), and 351.8kt of exports (-85% yoy).
Rail traffic to and from Latvian seaports went down in 2017 by 11.3% yoy to 35.04mt.
