Dry bulk turnover dropped by 11.2% year-on-year to 12.02mt, general cargo by 2.7% yoy to 7.2mt, and liquid bulk by 17.9% yoy to 2.27mt.
Riga's container traffic also contracted - by 8.4% yoy to 415,644 TEUs.
On the other hand, unlike in 2020, the Latvian seaport welcomed cruise passengers last year - 2,005 travellers in total.
At the same time, however, Riga lost its ferry traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic (278,759 passengers in 2020).
