The port's leading trade, dry bulk, advanced by 16.9% year-on-year to 3.54mt.
With 1.81mt (+5.3% yoy), general cargo handling came second.
On the other hand, liquid bulk turnover contracted by 33.8% yoy, totalling 426.7kt.
The Latvian seaport also took care of 111,318 TEUs, up 5.9% on the Q1 2021 result.
