The Swedish seaport took care of more forest products (+22.9% year-on-year to 430kt), break-bulk (+160% yoy to 39kt), and wheeled (ro-ro) cargo (+100% to 6.0kt).
Additionally, some 8.0kt dry bulk was handled (no handlings thereof in H1 2021).
In contrast, less liquid bulk (-7.4% yoy to 274kt) and containerised freight (-21.6% yoy to 29kt) went through Piteå's quays.
TEU-wise, fewer 'twenty-footers' were handled (-51.4% yoy to 2,052). On the other hand, the port saw more ro-ro cargo units (+15.8% yoy to 117).
The port's finished vehicle segment contracted (-22.2% yoy to 1,958 cars).
