"Following a relatively good cargo flow recovery after the pandemic, new challenges within the logistics sector have emerged. Fuel and energy prices make production and logistics chains more expensive. At the same time, inflation has, in many cases, resulted in lowering demand, particularly strongly in consumption of, among others, consumer electronics that, by far, are imported through Swedish ports," Nicklas Romell, the Port of Helsingborg's CCO, analysed.
He furthered, "The Port of Helsingborg observes the market and scrutinises what's happening globally. Concurrently, we are securing the continued stability and cost-effectiveness of our own operations through new technology, investments in modern and energy-efficient machinery, and close dialogue with our clients around their needs."
