With 280.9k travellers, the crossing to and from Stockholm noted the sharpest increase of 87.5% year-on-year.
The route to/from Tallinn, Helsinki's leading passenger service, also advanced - by 53.4% yoy to almost 1.29m.
Other routes grew as well - Travemünde by 54.9% yoy to 32.8k and Mariehamn by 34.5% yoy to 6,127 travellers.
Ferries serving Helsinki's passenger traffic also brought 280.5k private vehicles (+18.1% yoy).
On the cargo front, Helsinki took care of 3.52mt over 2023's first quarter (-3.9% yoy), including 2.88mt of unitised freight (-6.2% yoy), 382.1kt of dry bulk (+22.9% yoy), and 219.3kt of break-bulk (-11.8% yoy).
Ro-ro traffic amounted to 164,159 wheeled units (-3.1% yoy), while container - 101,112 TEUs (-11.2% yoy).
