With 527,697 twenty-foot containers, exports remained flat, while imports contracted by 10.1% year-on-year to 482,414 TEUs.
The country's seaports handled containerised freight noted mixed results: HaminaKotka took care of the most - 452,084 TEUs (-1.2% yoy), followed by Helsinki - 319,790 (-10.7% yoy) and Rauma - 152,488 (+3.2% yoy) as Finland's Top 3.
Other Finnish ports handling containers in January-September 2023 included: Hanko (-22.9% yoy to 42,943 TEUs), Oulu (-15.2% yoy to 18,065), Tornio (-4% yoy to 9,151), Kokkola (+13.2% yoy to 8,802), Kemi (+109% yoy to 3,778), Turku (+11% yoy to 2,292), Uusikaupunki (-70.3% yoy to 422), Raahe (+2.7% yoy to 114), Pietarsaari (-83.9% yoy to 108), and Pori (-73.2% yoy to 104).
