On the other hand, DFDS' ferries & ro-ros transported fewer cargo units, down 8.8% year-on-year to 38,083k lane metres filled (that's 2.12m ro-ro cargo units, counting 18 metres per truck/trailer).

The Channel business area saw 15,590k lm filled (-14.2% yoy), followed by North Sea - 13,846k lm (-2.6% yoy; that trade includes the Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen and Amsterdam-Newcastle services), Mediterranean - 5,407k lm (-2.9% yoy), and Baltic Sea - 3,243k lm (-14.7% yoy).
