Wheeled traffic, the Swedish seaport's main trade, amounted to 1.37mt, up 5.2% year-on-year.

A total of 104,818 trucks & trailers went through Karlskrona's quays, an increase of 2.1% on the January-September 2023 result. The port also handled 6,959 new vehicles (-9.4% yoy) and 301 TEUs (no container traffic in I-IX 2023).

The sharpest increase of 507% yoy was noted in the handling of dry bulk, up to 352kt. Karlskrona also took care of 2.0kt of break-bulk (vs 1.0kt last year) but there was no turnover of forestry products (vs 3.0kt in 2023).

The Swedish seaport served fewer passengers, down 2% yoy to 463,332 travellers, likewise passenger vehicles brought on board ferries, -4.3% yoy to 101,349.
