On the other hand, Finnlines' fleet transported fewer vehicles, down 45.5% yoy to 85 thousand units (excluding passenger cars), as well as non-unitised freight, a drop of 8.2% yoy to 1,234 thousand tonnes.

In its financial review for Q4 2024, the company confirmed it is considering another €500 million tonnage investment, this time in three brand-new, multi-fuel (methanol) cruise ferries of the Superstar+ class, which could enter its Finland-Germany trade in early 2028.
