In previous issues we wrote about a confessional and an espresso bar (the latter comes together with an open-air bath and a toilet, omg!), both of which were set up using a shipping container.

This time we're bringing forth the Leafy Green Machine (LGM) by Freight Farms, a farm-in-a-FEU. The LGM is a fully assembled hydroponic farming system, where you can grow your very own lettuces, herbs, and hearty greens (4,500 growing sites throughout 256 lightweight vertical crop columns), and according to the manufacturer - in any climate or location.

Depending on the crop, you can harvest the produce even as frequently as every single week, gathering a yearly total of two-to-four tonnes. The LGM is also eco-friendly, as it uses less than five gallons of water a day. Making lettuce from lettuce!
