The Japanese container shipping line will, as of early October 2026, change the port of call at the Danish island within the Scandinavia Express (SCX) rotation - from Copenhagen to Kalundborg.
Penang Bridge, a feeder offering room for 1,708 TEUs, is expected to make the maiden call on 4 October (ONE also lists the 1,118-TEU Ballata on the route).
The new SCX will link the ports of Rotterdam, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Aarhus, Kalundborg, and Antwerp on a weekly basis. In Kalundborg, APM Terminals will serve ONE's feeders.
"With ONE on board, we are taking an important step toward our ambition of making Kalundborg Zealand's largest container terminal. At the same time, we are strengthening local businesses' access to international supply chains with a direct connection to Rotterdam," commented Bent Rasmussen, the Port of Kalundborg's Director.
Dan Miura, Marketing and Commercial Director for ONE's EUA Region, also shared, "The transition to Kalundborg is a strategic upgrade of our SCX service aimed at building a stronger and more resilient logistics network in the Danish market. We are confident that with this move, we will be able to provide our customers with significantly improved service and operational flexibility. Most importantly, this move is initiated by our Danish Team, which proves our commitment to offer a customer-oriented and sustainable logistics network for the region."
Mikael Gutman, CEO of APM Terminals Denmark, highlighted, "ONE's choice of Kalundborg is a recognition of the investments we have made in productivity, sustainability, and efficient terminal operations through Green Zealand Gateway [electrified quay and yard equipment, among others]."
