Noting an increase by 4% year-on-year to a total of about 155.4mt, fresh produce accounted for nearly 4% of all dry cargo seaborne trade in 2017. This is good news, right?
Well, it depends who we're asking. In these reefers articles, which have been making their way into the BTJ papers for a few years now, one theme has been permeating into all of them, namely the clash between conventional and container ships.
Last year was no exception to this rule either. One top player even got its fingers burnt on flirting with the boxes (though, it does not mean that the company won't try again!).
