Out of the total, trucks and trailers amounted to 190,900 pieces (+3.3% year-on-year), while railcars added the remaining 4,047 (+10.9% yoy).
The Swedish seaport took care of 2.92mt over 2018's first quarter, an uptick by 4.2% on the Q1 2017 result. With 2.91mt (+4.6% yoy), wheeled cargo accounted for almost all freight handling. Road units totalled 2.73mt (+4.4% yoy), while rail 187kt (+8.1% yoy).
Both the turnover of liquids and dry bulk contracted - by 14.3% yoy to 6.0t and by 75% yoy to 3.0t, respectively.
Trelleborg's ferry traffic rose as well. Passenger numbers went up by 7.9% yoy to altogether 281,773 travellers, whereas pax cars by 14.9% yoy to 46,646 vehicles.
