With 128kt (+0.8% year-on-year), liquids accounted for nearly two-fifths of the Swedish seaport's total freight turnover.
The handling of forest products came in second with 117kt (+9.3% yoy), followed by other goods (+2.6% yoy to 40kt), dry bulk (+47.1% yoy to 25kt), and containerised freight (+4.3% yoy to 24kt).
A total of 2,986 TEU was taken care of, too, an increase by 31% on the Q1 2017 result. In addition, some 35 trucks/trailers made their way to/from Södertälje (-58.3% yoy).
The finished vehicle logistics sector went up by 10.7% yoy to altogether 22,005 new units.
