Now, this isn't a preposterous number, right? One of the sort at which eco-conscious people would cry with outrage instantly. Or is it?
Taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture, Germany is responsible for about the same amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Can you imagine the commotion stirred if somebody would have proposed to exclude the world's fourth biggest economy from a worldwide deal to curb the increasingly suffocating levels of pollution - in addition, it seems, for no good reason at all?
