Throughout history, the Baltic Sea region has witnessed major events.
Some of them, though decades have seemingly passed since their end, still cast a shadow over certain countries, cities, and - of course - ports.
At the beginning of May, I had the pleasure to visit the Latvian Liepāja, a town rife with troubled heritage, but, at the same time, lucky enough to have the people who had and continue to have the drive and skills to steer the place in the right direction.
