After a few years break, the port in the Swedish Karlskrona has re-joined the Baltic Ports Organization (BPO).
Initially set up in the 17th century as a naval base for the relocating Royal Swedish Navy, Karlskrona is nowadays a port most known in the Baltic transport & logistics world for its ferry traffic with the Polish Gdynia.
As trade grows, the port is expanding alike - by 11 hectares and 400 m of quay wall in the next couple of years.
