While the Amazon is burning and Greta Thunberg is raising awareness of the climate crisis, the transport industry still accounts for a staggering 27% of all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Europe.
At the same time, the EU annually spends over €200 billion importing oil to power its vehicle fleet.
In order to address global warming and the extreme weather events that come to pass as its direct consequence, a shift in spending from imported fossil fuels to domestically produced clean alternatives is necessary to help eliminate transport pollution and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
