The year 2019 at the Port of Gdynia is yet another cargo handling boom year.
The newest statistics show that after 10 months of this year cargo handling volume growth indexes are very high in nearly every cargo group. In total, the Port of Gdynia has already exceeded the limit of 20 million tonnes of cargo.
Another great achievement of the Port of Gdynia in the first 10 months of 2019 is a significant increase in container handling, which totals to 750,439 TEUs and is larger by 13% (86,563 TEUs) as compared to the same period in 2018.
Keeping up this pace, the container turnover will reach 900,000 TEUs by the end of 2019, whereas cargo handling in all groups will be approximately 24 million tonnes.
