The Russian seaport for the second time in Baltic history took care of more than one hundred million tonnes.
Yet, the result was achieved only thanks to the increase of 15.2% year-on-year in the turnover of dry bulk, up to 41.88mt, as both the handling of general cargo and liquid bulk contracted last year, by 16.2% yoy to 2.15mt and by 0.2% yoy to 59.82mt, respectively.
Ust-Luga's container traffic continues to lose volumes - a total of 61,347 TEUs was handled in 2019, 11.3% less than in 2018.
