The Danish port has purchased a mobile harbour crane, previously in service in Finland for three years, which before delivery will receive a new electric drive at Liebherr's maritime headquarters in Rostock.

Grenaa's LHM 550 will have a maximum lifting capacity of 144t, with a 54 m-long boom.

Apart from that and the hydrostatic drive, the heavy-duty machinery will also provide 360-degrees mobility - all wheels are individually steerable and have load balancing, whereby the ground pressure of each wheel doesn’t exceed six tonnes.
