Transneft has completed a project of building up the petroleum products transportation volume in the direction of the Vysotsk distribution and transshipment complex (DTC) from the Port of Primorsk to 3.5mt/year.
To that end facilities at the Oil Depot No. 2 in the Port of Primorsk have been revamped, including the set up of two emergency release tanks (each having a capacity of 1,000 m3) and a 93-metre overhead cable tray, laying 450 m of pipelines, as well as renewing the mainline pump and doubling the number of mainline pump units to four.
Some 10kt/day are currently supplied to the Vysotsk DTC.
In addition, preparatory works aimed at increasing the delivery capacity of the petroleum products trunk pipeline system up to 5mt/year are already underway. The project will have been completed by end-2024.
