The handling of dry bulk noted the sharpest decline of 79.6% year-on-year down to 924kt, followed by liquid bulk which decreased by 12.1% yoy to 3.90mt.
With 3.06mt, the handling of general cargo stayed at the same level as in Q1 2019; dry bulk advanced from 3.0kt to 24kt, whereas liquid bulk went from 12kt down to 10kt.
The growth was driven by increased turnover of forest products, up by 35.6% year-on-year to a total of 274kt, and of liquid bulk, a 7.6% rise yoy to 354kt.
First Container Terminal took care of 171k TEUs (+5.6% year-on-year), Petrolesport - 108k TEUs (+42.1% yoy), and Ust-Luga Container Terminal - 14k TEUs (-6.7% yoy).
A total of 618,015 consignments (-4.6% year-on-year) was rail-transported across the company's international network, while the remaining 266,153 were shipped on national/German services (-8.2% yoy).
