Domestic shipments totalled 430k TEU (+3.5% year-on-year), followed by 274.8k TEU in export (+16.7% yoy), 198.3k TEU in import (+21.6% yoy), and 100.6k TEU in transit traffic (+30.1% yoy).
Apart from the new container handling record, the three Swedish ports gathered within the Ports of Stockholm authority also recorded a new all-time high in cargo turnover, making 9.7mt in 2017 (+7.8% year-on-year).
In total, however, the German company rail-carried less containers, swap bodies, and trailers in 2017 - down by 2.8% year-on-year to 958,299 truck consignments (equivalent of 1.9m TEU).
