Pursuant to, among others, the favourable decision of antitrust authorities, the Polish forwarder and logistics company will become part of the Rhenus Group already this October.
Following the takeover, Rhenus will grow with nine locations in Poland, plus C.Hartwig Gdynia's branches in Hamburg, Felixstowe, and New York City.
"C.Hartwig enables us not only to meaningfully enrich the existing network, but also to open up new markets with new locations. Particularly in the area of ocean freight, we expect a considerable strengthening of our transports," Tobias Bartz, Member of Rhenus Group's Management Board, said.
The Polish OT Logistics Group decided in mid-2020 to sell C.Hartwig Gdynia.
