Ems Maritime Offshore, Vestas, and Parkwind have picked the German Baltic seaport for serving the 257 MW-strong offshore wind farm.

A 1,800 m2-big facility will be set up in the port from which 40 professionals will oversee the operations and maintenance of Arcadis Ost 1.

Offshore installation works on the wind farm located northeast of the island of Rügen will begin in 2022.

Once fully operational in 2023, Arcadis Ost 1 will generate energy to power the equivalent of 290k households.
