Subject to approval by competition authorities, the Danish freight forwarder specialising in serving trade between Scandinavia and Eastern Europe will become part of DFDS.
The company provides transport solutions for full- and part-loads, including oversize cargo, and groupage.
ICT Logistics also offers warehousing, distribution, and custom clearance services.
Together with the company, DFDS will take over around 600 trailers, 20 trucks, several offices (in Denmark, Moscow, Kaluga, Lviv, Kyiv, Bucharest, Riga, Klaipėda, and Hamburg), and two haulage operations (in Lithuania and Russia).
"ICT Logistics greatly improves our offering to customers trading with Eastern Europe. The expansion of our logistics network also complements our Baltic ferry route network," Niklas Andersson, Executive Vice President and Head of Logistics Division, DFDS, commented.
Since 2006, DFDS has been holding a 19.9% stake in ICT Logistics.
