With the help of CargoNet and Nor-log Thermo, Blue Water Shipping will connect Narvik with Padborg.

The test run arrived in Denmark on 5 December, carrying fresh fish. Blue Water Shipping intends to make the Narvik-Padborg link a regular, once per week service as of January 2022.

The company already projects to ramp it up to three weekly runs in autumn 2022.

Blue Water Shipping plans to source food products and other consumer goods for unloading in Oslo on the backhaul.

According to estimations, the new service will take some 4,000 trucks off Norwegian roads per annum, saving the environment 7,000t of CO2 emissions.
