The intermodal rail arm of HHLA has branched out eastwards by taking over the Małaszewicze-located logistics company, until recently part of the Czech CL Europort holding.
Following the deal, Metrans will grow with CL Europort's logistics centre in Małaszewicze, situated a few kilometres from the rail & road crossings between Poland and Belarus.
Additionally, Metrans has started working with Eurotrans. The former has thus gained access to the latter's rail capacity to and from the Terespol-Brest Polish-Belarussian border crossing.
