The Swedish freight tech company will supply Maersk's operations in the US with 300 electric trucks, 150 charging stations, connectivity services, and an operating system.

The Class-8 vehicles of BYD's 8TT model will be supplied in 2035-2025, with the initial delivery assembled in California.

Maersk will use the fleet to electrify its warehousing, distribution, and transportation in selected US cities. The e-trucks will help Maersk bring its emissions to net-zero across the company's business and value chain by 2040.

This order marks the expansion of our ambitions to cover all services across transport modes."
