The subsidiary of the Euroports Group has purchased "a substantial part" of the Finnish stevedore with operations in the ports of Hamina, Kaskinen, Kemi, Kristiinankaupunki, and Oulu.
The name of the company and the current management team will remain unchanged, and BB Logistics' labour force of 40 will continue to work for the stevedore.
"This strategic move strengthens our position in the industry and gives us the possibility to serve our customers with a wider range of services to our existing and new customers everywhere in Finland. We are confident that BB Logistics will create an excellent possibility to strengthen our position as a reliable partner for any cargoes," Sari De Meulder, Managing Director of Euroports Finland, commented.
Kim Lindström, Managing Director of BB Logistics, added, "We are excited about the new partnership with Euroports. We share the same logistic DNA which allows us to support our customers to be successful worldwide. Providing efficient logistics services is at the core of our service package. With this, I feel we can stand even stronger behind our promises."
Euroports Finland is present with its stevedoring services in Hanko, Pietarsaari, and Rauma. The Euroports Group is active in 50 locations globally, including, apart from the above, also Rostock in the Baltic.
