Van Oord's trailing suction hopper dredger Vox Amalia has arrived at the Paldiski South Harbour, where the Port of Tallinn will erect a dock to serve the offshore wind energy (OWE) industry.

Vox Amalia will supply approximately 830k m3 of sand to create ten hectares of land for the quay (expected to become operational in 2025).

The sand is dredged from a borrow area on the northern coast of Hiiumaa, about 125 km from the port.
